Terry Duffy's MONUMENTS is a Pan European project which uses contemporary art practice to overcome and reflect upon the past, present and future, to discuss the new European identity and reinvention.
 

The project consists of two major elements:

·         A challenging central core and focus: A large scale artwork/installation responding to each iconic location expressing humanities shared inner strength, weakness, diversity, yet 'sensus communis’.

·         An unpredictable outer core and melting pot: Artists from across Europe expressing their cultural, religious, political, creative diversity within the central core theme and question:
 

“what do we now want to monumentalise”?
