The Burj
Tower, Dubai:.
Opening in late 2009 will be the
tallest building in the world. It
symbolises
mans obsession with height, power,
authority and a countries affluence,
ingenuity and ambition.
For a period of time, maybe only
months or a few years it will be the
tallest until the next tower is
built, most probably in Shanghai
where it is already being planned.
Therefore, whilst it is the tallest,
I would like to investigate the
possibility of exhibiting MONUMENTS
on one of its top floors surrounded
by glass, the sky and the rest of
civilisation
far below.
It will in essence express that need
for humanity to rise out of its
mortal coil and commune with the
GODS.
